Guest guest Posted April 1, 2006 Report Share Posted April 1, 2006 Rudy - PLEASE stick with it! I am flabbergasted that your doctor told you to walk 7 - 10 miles a day. That's just crazy. You need to start where you are. I feel like all he did was make a healthy lifestyle seem even more unattainable to you! Please continue your short walks! You need to just move your body. Then, once your body gets used to moving, move a little more. I LOVE the walking poles idea. I have an aunt who uses them, and absolutely LOVES them! PLEASE post again, so we know how you're doing!!! Jonelle, you are my soul sister!!! You said " I lost 100 lbs and a gall bladder(guess it > went into shock after so many years of fatty things). And that skin > started sagging and I felt wonderfully active and totally uglier than > ever! ....yep felt uglier cuz of all that darn empty skin hanging, " That is my life exactly! I went from 275 to 175, and absolutely HATED my body!! All that loose skin was worse to me than the fat that used to fill it! I figured, what the heck am I working so hard for - I look worse than ever! Even though I felt AWESOME, and very fit, I stopped caring, started slacking, and gaining. I'm now up about 50 pounds, and am in a panic, trying to figure out how I let this happen! LOL Well, DUH! So, I'm back on the road again. I LOVE the Fit day website - free, and I would recommend it to everyone! Good luck to everyone on the journey - whatever that journey may be.
