Guest guest
My son's MRI has revealed an Arachnoid Cyst, 18mm. The neurologist has stressed to us that this should NOT be a concern, that it is common and will not affect him. However, my research (online) has prompted me to worry. I have read that some people have this taken care of surgically due to it affecting their BEHAVIOR and EMOTIONS??? Any thoughts? The MRI was done due to his recent EEG being normal. However, he is 'probably' having seizures during the night. That is another story though (signs, symptoms)! Otherwise, the MRI was normal as well. He is taking a low dose of a seizure med at night for a preventative. Please respond on what you may know about this type of cyst? Does your child have this as well? I'm wondering how many children on the Autism Spectrum have this? http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CASIL/
