Guest guest
Geoff, Thanks for confirming this. We noticed at the store going down the aisles we could smell the bread and the detergent aisles are horrible. We have been advised to use Borax to clean our clothes and there is absolutely no smell on them after they come out of the dryer. It is truly amazing but we could smell the detergent a lady in the store from her clothing, probably fabric softener. It is difficult to come up with combinations that are different for four days but we are just starting so we'll get better at it. Thanks again. Bev Very normal. As your system clears itself of varius toxins, you become more acutely aware of them - like a newborn baby. I got so I could smell regular table salt from 50 feet. Beware - you also enter a period of hypersensitivity during this time and items to which you are allergic may cause violent reactions and flaring. Subject: rotation diet Hi All, Jenn and I are on the four day rotation diet and not having foods with phenols, and Jenn can't have dairy, wheat or corn. I wasn't tested for these but would guess I shouldn't have them either. We started the diet on Sunday. Is it normal to notice smells more distinctly when on this diet. Jeff was brushing his teeth and we could smell the Crest Toothpaste so strong it was as if he had bathed in it. Also our water (artisian well) tastes different. Is this normal on this diet and will it be a problem that we have to stay away from these products (toothpaste). Bev ------- Very normal. Guest guest
Hi Bev, can you direct me to a source on the rotation diet. I've been wanting to try it. I'm certain I have food sensativities. Thanks. Kimmie rheumatic Rotation Diet Is anyone on the rotation diet and losing a lot of weight. Jenn and I have been on it for a week and have lost a lot of weight, like ten pounds. It seems like too much weight to lose so quickly. My clothes are just hanging on me and I look wan. We have to also avoid foods we are allergic to making it doubly hard to find things to eat. Why would eating different foods for four days make one lose weight. So much weight? Anyone?? Guest guest
LeeAnn, I think at first it is hard to come up foods you haven't eaten three days previous and sometimes we just drink water when we are hungry while deciding what to have, then we aren't hungry. We can have nuts, avocodos too. This has become a family project so we are getting lots of help. Bev
Guest guest
Bev, You are probably not eating enough of these foods. I just finished a month of rotating and I have actually gained weight. Some of the foods I was allowed to eat included fattier things like nuts and avocados. When I finished rotating I think I may have eaten to much of them and gained about ten pounds. This is great because I haven't been able to BUY a pound for about three years. ( I hovered around 100lbs.) You are allowed to eat as much as you want of the chosen foods for that day. Don't skimp. I understand and empathize that all this is very difficult if you are unwell. Perhaps you could get one of the healthier members of your family to help out. Guest guest
Dear Kimmie, I believe the rotation diet can be found in a book called "Chemical Victims" by Dr. Mackarness. Guest guest
http://www.food-allergy.org/rotation.html http://www.coem.com/environmentaleducation_EC_ReadingResources.shtml Hi ladies, Thought I would share this info since the rotation diet came up. I've been on it for 14 years. Saved my life... I'd swear by this diet. I was taught by the environmental doctors I went to basically to use a 4 day as my guide, I sometimes do three because of limitations to foods. I even put my cats on the diet after they developed food allergies and it works for them. Obviously you can't buy canned cat food to do this because they have multiple things in there.. so I had to start making food for the allergic one. But back to people, the diet works. It's takes the burden off your immune system and helps you identify allergens. In a healthy individual it was determined that it takes 4 days for the body to process out the foods completely. To lighten up that total load on the body, I stay away from the gluten, wheat, dairy foods...and other common allergens. After a while the body can tolerate smaller amounts of previously intolerable foods. Yes the nightshades are problematic too. You need more than one day between foods though if possible to get the desired result. Easy it's not. You end up eating stuff you never even thought of. Hugs, There would be nothing to frighten you if you refused to be afraid. I went for a series of food allergy tests last year (I thought that's what was making me sick) and learned about all the foods I was sensitive to (27!). Along with gluten intolerance. They said it was abnormally high. So they gave me a food rotation chart. To tell you the truth its kinda hard for me, so mostly I try to at least do every other day instead of every 3. But I didn't know about the yawning. That's interestingBevSent via BlackBerry by AT & T-----Original Message-----From: "teresa" <t-jay130@...>Sender: Date: Wed, 06 Oct 2010 17:26:41 < >Reply- Subject: Re: To EveryoneHi ,Here's a thought...Yawning can be a symptom of a food sensitivity.Mix it up. Rotate your food. Put at least 3 days between any food.Items you have been eating on a daily basis may be building up sensitivity; eggs, wheat, night-shade family, dairy, hormone-fed meats, etc. Just a thought. You're in my prayers.Hugs of support, M.------------------------------------
