Guest guest
I live in the UK and am totally amazed to find this information. I only found it last night and have been 'suffering' for 28 years with it. Making my family's (Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, Husband and now children's) life a misery from constantly nagging. I try not to nag now so much, but am so sad to realise that my 13 year old daughter seems to be going the same way. My Mom is like this a little but not the the extent that I have. Holidays in confined spaces, not being able to escape, car journeys, etc. have been unbearable. I can go from being perfectly happy to absolutely evil with my partner because of whistling noises from his nose. Poor bloke! I have taken to wearing cotton wool in my ears in the car. But now I know that I am not completely bonkers after all these years, I'm going to my GP tomorrow. Luckily I have a very understanding Hubby and I have tried to explain how it feels, the anger and screaming in my head, anxiety, etc. I was sent to a phsyco-analyst (?) when I was in my 20's, but that was a horrible experience. I tried Prozac, no good at all, and I also tried a hypnotherapist who told me to put saliva under my tongue and gave me some relaxation tapes. Has anyone actually found anything that works, and what do people thing about 'pink' noise, wearable sound generators?
