Cod liver oil question (Vitamin E, butter oil)

I've tried to take cod liver oil twice now (after meals, btw), and

each time I've started gagging on it after a couple weeks. I think

I'm generally a believer in the idea that our bodies know more about

nutrition than our brains, so I've discontinued it when that

happened. But I've read about how you need to take extra anti-

oxidants, particularly Vitamin E, along with omege-3's. Maybe that's

the problem - my body is just trying to avoid a dose of unprotected

pro-oxidants? Has anybody tried taking Cod liver oil along with wheat

germ oil or some other Vitamin E source?

Also, WAP gave cod liver oil with butter oil, presumably to help the

absorption. Has anyone tried that?
