Guest guest
Hi , I know the misery of hurricanes. We went through 4 big ones a few years ago. To avoid the electricity problem, we bought a generator. It is the best investment you will ever make, if you live in a storm prone area. Sara We Are Back! I am so thankful that we got our electricity and water back on Sunday and our phone (internet) yesterday! Hurricane Ike did a number on us! It feels good to be cool and clean. We are 45 miles from Houston and I didn't expect this much damage. My son (22) did pretty good the first couple of days, but then became angry and frustrated later. He kept demanding my husband to "fix the electricity" and I kept telling him "a couple of days". He would stay in his dark bedroom and stim loudly and scream. He couldn't understand why Mcs was "closed". I drove him 70 miles out to College Station so he could get his Mcs french fries "fix" and to WalMart so he could walk around -- it's his favorite store. Unfortunately, the pleasure was short lived and we had to go back to our hot and dark environment at home. I just wanted to "voice" my happiness!!!
