Guest guest
Ok - so when a 3 year old is entering the school system and they say he only qualifies for Speech Impairment - but they noted behavioral and social concerns as with PDD --- but didn't state PDD because he is higher functioning - how would a parent go about getting a "label" on the qualifying disability to get those services as well --- Goals only reflect the Speech related - and therefore the school is recommending 1/2 day for 5 days per week. When the child is now in a 5 day a week full-day preschool. M. GuppyMy autism journey isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.... No one should live in one. We cannot debate who should get an inclusive education. Everyone should. We cannot determine who does and who does not get the right to make their own choices and forge their own futures. All must."
