Happy Valentine's Day Everyone..

I haven't posted in about 5 months (we moved to NJ and I had to give

up my work pc) but I believe my husband Andy has posted recently so

forgive me if my news is old. Our son (Mattie) will be 21

months on the 21st and we are happy to report he has had a great

month of January/February. Xmas time was a little rough, I still

have a hard time sometimes seeing " typical " kids 's age doing

all the things that kids his age do and watch Mattie struggle. But..

that is something just to get used to I suppose and I seem to get

stronger daily. Andy has been printing out the postings frequently

for me so I don't feel completely out of the loop :-) Hope Kennedy is

feeling better and belated birthday greetings to all I have missed!

Our BIG news is that learned how to crawl up the stairs and

slide back down. We had been working on it for awhile and he just

caught on one day. Now it is his favorite thing to do, along with

commando crawling to any door that is open only to open and shut it!

He is very proud of himself when he is finished climbing and it gives

us such great joy. He doesn't have any feeding issues, has 8 teeth

and is a big drooler but we think he is still teething. He can say

dada usually to Andy but lost Mama last July and we really haven't

heard it since. He chats alot but not words. He also just started

to stand in his crib. His pt lent us this cool car walker toy from

fisher price that is different from the kind that look like little

lawn mowers. This one is U shaped (upside down) and the child puts

his hands on the right and left kind of like a metal walker type, he

stands in the middle. It looks like a car and it is awesome, it

gives him so much more support than the others and he is actually

taking steps when we push it forward. We are thrilled. He has ot/pt

and speech and a group therapy session once a week. We also go

swimming though I can't say he loves that. He is our first child and

we are happy to report that #2 is due May 28th. They will be 2 years

apart so I know we will be alot busier but are looking forward to the

new baby's arrival. So far so good with all the ultrasounds etc and

I am feeling great other than the ridiculous weight gain! Enough of

my rambling, I just wanted to say hi to everyone again and welcome

all the new members and wish everyone a wonderful Valentine's day

with all of their angels.
