Hi everyone,

I posted our Europe group recently about rashes. I'll paste the post below.

Basically, I'm interested in comparing the lyme bull's eye rash with the ringworm rash. Is the ringworm rash generally smaller/rounder maybe?

Thanks,

Sandy

Hi everyone,

We are wondering if Eddie's recovery from autism was partially fromusing some low dose Lyme herbs (artemesia, andrographis and cat'sclaw). We really can't be sure.

We have tested positive for Lyme but only I had the eczema rash withthe clear centre that is typical of Lyme - very many Lyme sufferersdon't get this. Lyme is really is very, very hard to detect.

The Lyme rash is called "Erythema Migrans" (or the Bull's Eye rash)Don't click on this link below if you are eating .... it's a pictureof the rashes

http://www.canlyme.com/rash.html

the problem is the rash is so very different in size, hue andposition. Mine was always in the same place on my shin only 1-2"diameter and quite pale and lasted weeks and weeks each time itappeared.

Does anyone else get - or ever had an eczema rash with a clear centre?

I have been looking at ringworm (careful again another rash link ofpictures)http://images.google.com/images?q=ringworm & rls=com.microsoft:*:IE-SearchBox & ie=UTF-8 & oe=UTF-8 & sourceid=ie7 & rlz=1I7GGIK_en-GB & um=1 & sa=N & tab=wi

I'm really not sure on the distinction. (Does anyone know?) They dolook similar to me.But maybe it would be worth us thinking about this type of rash justin case Lyme could be an issue.

Best wishes,Sandy

Sandy..I have to tell you that the ONLY rash I've ever had that resembled a bulls eye was when I "thought" I had ringworm. We didn't treat the ringworm (I was 19) and a month later I was in the hospital with a 104.5 fever with 10 people surrounding me getting ready to do a spinal tap because they thought I had meningitis. HMMMM. I refused the spinal tap because I was scared and 19 and told them all where to go.

I told this story to Dr. W and he said this is very common and the ringworm rash can be mistaken and really be a small bulls eye.

My son and I have had these rashes that I thought were ring worm,

several times. I see identical ones on the linked pictures. I had

these over and over again while I was pregnant with him. They never

responded to antifungals.
