Guest guest
Thanks to those who responded. I had found the vaclib info and sent it to them- but it seems to cover more the shot and somewhat the Vitamin K- not the eye drops as much. I just want to make sure I am giving them solid info so that they don't have to even deal with any more ridiculousness...has anyone used an exemption letter to decline all hospital newborn procedures like these? > > > > My brother and sister-in-law wish to decline not only the HepB for their baby who will > be born this month, but also wish to decline the Vitamin K shot and the eye drops. > > They were told by their OB that they can be reported to child protective services and also > that it is state mandated (they live in Temple, TX) and that it is a misdemeanor if you > refuse!
