Guest guest
Oh joy! ;-) They've apparently successfully created a vaccine for the really dangerous form of E. Coli (157) that they are intending to use on cattle. Do we know yet which intestinal microbes are responsible for synthesizing CLA in the rumen? No matter, whatever ill effects it might possibly have can't possibly taint the fact that we can now safely eat the factory-farmed meat even though it's smeared with fecal matter, right? ....and thank goodness the processors can stop worrying about how much fecal matter they introduce! Guest guest
Hi It seems like I ran across something recently on the microbes responsible for producing CLA's and maybe I'm dreaming . I will call Dr. Dhimond at Utah State and ask him about it. Is there anything else that you would like me to ask him? He will be here in Ne again this summer if anyone is interested in seeing him let me know . All for now in Ne Kroyer wrote: > Oh joy! ;-) They've apparently successfully created a vaccine for the > really dangerous form of E. Coli (157) that they are intending to use on > cattle. Guest guest
A recent news report said that they'd found that if grain feeding was stopped and replaced with pasture or hay feeding for just one week prior to slaughter that e coli in the intestines was minimized by a huge percentage. Between grain feeding and not pasturing increasing e coli and commercialized, factory processing its no wonder theres so much e coli contamination. All it takes is a slip of the knife.
