Guest guest
I was never told to have structure and routine in the first half of my 20yrs of my life with autistic children. Our pediatricians and nuerologists were our only resources in those years. The neurologists have always told me to be flexible. My older children grew up far more adjusted and non-violent with fewer meltdowns. They have developed their own routines in there own time and I accomodate them best I can. My youngest autistic child has been raised in the newer methods with routine and structure and he has the the most difficult negative aspects of autism and violent meltdowns. Anyone else notice this differance? Tishanne
