Guest guest
In a hurry to cut something tough, I used a cheap non-locking knife. The blade bent back in and the end of my thumb was in the way. I gashed my right thumb, right out on the tender end of it, about 5/8 " long and about 1/8 " deep, well into the quick. It bled plenty. I remembered the trick I read about just a few weeks ago, something to do with lymph, that if you have a clean deep cut, you hold it closed with lots of hand pressure and it will seal and stop bleeding. I just put my right thumb into my left palm and pressed hard. It worked. It worked so well that I tried to temp fate. I kept working with that thumb and a couple of times it bled in a couple of little spots, then I just pushed it into the palm again and it would stop bleeding again. Amazing. I'm nearly 54 and have worked construction all my life. I've shed enough blood to start my own religion (humor, not sacrilege!). I've never heard about this technique and just can't believe how well it works. Next thing was that I read somewhere, can't remember where to save my neck, not to ever use the common antibacterial ointments on a wound, that they get in the way of real healing. (Of course, I have all of them on hand all the time.) I had to do something, so I applied a dab of MII Neutralizer, MII Moisturizer, and DMSO gel to it, covered with a bandaid, and left it overnight. If you had not seen the original cut, you wouldn’t see it now. I can only make out about 1/4 " of it and that's only because I know where it was. Daddybob No virus found in this outgoing message.
