Guest guest
When I read the subject line " DDD " the only thing that came to my mind was the Department for Developmental Disabilities. That's what DDD stands for in our state. > > Hi,I found DDD listed in my sons diagnoses. Guest guest
Hi Tishanne, I have heard of ODD as a diagnosis, but not DDD. Not sure on this one. > > Hi,I found DDD listed in my sons diagnoses. Guest guest
Hi ,it was worded as " Artanian met the criteria for DDD " then it listed the spectrum things like ocd. I though it was an error for ODD but now from post info I think it may be Dept.of Developemental Disability, meaning he met the criteria for that department. To many abbreviations on paper, lol. Guest guest
Truthfully, I haven't got a clue what DDD would be. I have my own definitions, though:When people ask me about my son's diagnosis and the process, I kind of explain it as:at age 2:ADHD, OCD, ODD, PDD, Sensory Integration Disorder and all the other DDD's out there...at age 8:Asperger Syndrome...Since birth - Awesome (except for the 1st two months when I thought I brought home the wrong baby because mine would NEVER cry like that and mine would SLEEP for longer than 20 minutes....)I also use DDD in reference to those that have repeatedly tried to correct me when I say Autistic and they say, "Don't you mean ARTISTIC???" (Of course, I'm stealing it from Mencia but I have to turn everything into a joke or I'm going to end up in a rubber room before Christmas :0)tishannepatterson wrote: Hi ,it was worded as "Artanian met the criteria for DDD" then it listed the spectrum things like ocd. Guest guest
Hi Tishanne, Worded that way I agree. It's almost funny (sad funny) that our kids end up with alphabet soup on most of their paperwork. > > > > > > Hi,I found DDD listed in my sons diagnoses.
