Guest guest
I live in the South, so I don't have the issue of the crunching sound of snow/ice/salt while walking, but when I was in Jr. High and High School, and living my my parents and siblings in the country, it drove me nuts when my sister walked on the gravel from the bus stop to our home. I could hear her shoes hitting the gravel, and it was very annoying. It only bothered me when she did it - not when I did it or when my younger brothers did it. Now, as an adult, it bothers me when I hear my husband's shoes slish against concrete when he doesn't pick up his feet while walking. Just going for a walk with him can be unpleasant. Even being on vacatin can be unpleasant when that sound bothers me. I wish it weren't so.
