Guest guest
Teri, hi, Your immune AND nervous system may need rest. I mean in the form of sleep. And naps. Sleep has a magical restoring power. More sleep can also reduce fatigue. Perhaps also starting to drink water throughout the day would help cleanse some of the toxins out. Physical therapy or an exercise program may " jump start " your energy, too, but remember, persons with CMT muscles have to work twice as hard as a non-CMT person, so pacing oneself throughout the day on all your activities may help too. Start slow in PT/exercise. And good to stop smoking too. Vitamin B12 * may * possibly be a supplement you wish to try. But ask your doc first. Also, perhaps Iron supplements, but again ask the doc to check your levels, maybe also have your Thyroid checked. ~ Gretchen
Guest guest
My husband is on Provigil, and it seems to help with the fatigue. He splits a 100 mg in half. I read about it being good for fatigue of CMT in this newsletter. Elinor
