Guest guest
Hi Candace, I used to work out until I hurt my back and I also have CMT, Protein is good to build muscles but it also has allot of calories in it unless you want to be a 300 lb body builder I wouldn't recommend taking lots of protein. Some proteins can have up to 600 calories in one drink and some have horrible tastes. If you want to maintain muscle mass and are exercising I would recommend taking creatine instead. Guest guest
I saw your post and thought I would just let you know what I do. I eat quite a bit of protein everyday. I have HNPP and it does seem to help with my symptoms. I also am hypoglycemic, so the protein helps me with that also. I eat fish, turkey, chicken, and sometimes lean beef. I also have eggs for breakfast. These all help me a lot with all of my symptoms with both of my " problems " . I have more energy and really feel pretty good. Good luck to you! The MDA sure is great. I also do not have any insurance right now and they help me soo much. They are absolutely wonderful!
