Hi Donna,

I love that approach also. My simplest one is to keep working out in

Aquatics and learn one new exercise to add to my program every other

week. I mentioned before that I am attempting to learn a new

language. (my first class was yesterday) My " dream " goal for this year is to

sail from Port Moresby through the Trobriand and Islands to Vanautu.

Maybe I have 2 " dream " goals if I add coming to London to watch you run in the

1/2 Marathon!

My goal is diet drinks. I have given up regular soda to switch to diet. This

is a big goal for me. I hate diet soda so much that I usually just don't

drink it and order water. LOL

Hi Gretchen,

I love the sailing goals - and the Pacific Islands too.

My other big goal is to get rid of a lot of external extra commitments I have so

that I can focus on me. I am basically chopping my social calendar to

prioritise the gym, and sleep, when I am in London.

Speaking of London I would love it if you came. I am doing a tri (hello

triathletes I know you are there! I read your posts on swimming last year and

loved them - yes I mean you Don M!) and my quarter triathlon is in May - which

should coincide almost with the flower show. Let me know if you are interested

and who knows maybe we can find a reason for a get together.

All the best from a still raining London - but thankfully I am off to Paris for

work on Wednesday where even if it is raining, it is still Paris!

Hi ,

I too am axing the full fat coke and since I don't have it often I should just

drop it all together, except for my sugar / caffeine low at about 4pm at work.

I tried " Coke Zero " the other day - do you have that? Over here they call it

" bloke coke " as it has a fizzier taste I think that the usual diet drink - and

less of the sweet after taste. Anyway, I actually can drink that. Give it a

try.

Personally I know that all water is much better and that hunger and fatigue are

side effects of dehydration. So in addition to bloke coke I am also trying to

reach first for water. It works. Now the coke is more of a treat rather than

feeling like a necessity.

Speak with you soon and have a great week!

Hi,

You might also try some of the flavored diet coke drinks - I like the

Black Cherry Vanilla Diet Coke. Switching from regular coke to diet

coke was rough, but after I got used to it, I didn't like the taste of

regular coke any more.

RE: my goals - Cut down to 2 diet cokes per day :-D, start taking a

multi vitamin, use the exercise bike at least 3 times per week. Later

in the year, I also want to get my weights out of storage and start

using them 3 times per week also. (No room right now!)

Hi Donna,

Water is great but wow do I need caffeine. Around 3:00 pm I am dragging. I will

try Coke Zero this weekend!

My daughter is headed to Rome this year. She said the water is awful in Europe

and she wants some flavor packets so she can drink it. Is your water awful in

London?

Thanks
