My husband loves his Feather Lite scooter. It comes apart easily and fits in

the trunk of your car. The heaviest piece is the battery at 29 pounds. You can

take it up to the door of airplanes and have them store it like a stroller. I

think the Glideabout looks too tippy.

Hello All,

I don't know if you know. (I don't follow the group closely.) Your

health insurance will pay for a wheelchair/ scooter (glideabout) if you get a

prescription from your doctor. I got my first scooter 9 years ago. You can get

a new one every 5 years. I guess that is the life expectancy of a wheelchair /

scooter. I believe Medicare pays a

percentage of the cost? I am covered under my wife's HMO and they

cover the whole amount. Maybe some else in the group has more

information. December of 2007 I will get another scooter. Be careful

some are junk.

Happy Trails,

Owen
