Guest guest
Ivan, Muge and those of you whose kids are on antibiotics- we have been on antibiotics for our 8 year old twin boys now for about 7 weeks. We have not seen big improvements yet. I know some people say it takes up to 6 months before you see much, but lately I've been reading posts where people say they are seeing lots of improvement in a few weeks. We are on zithromax and Rifampin. We did do Mepron and Malarone, but the Malarone gave one of my sons major brain inflammation, crazy behavior and seizure type behavior. The doctor felt due to his symptoms, this was the right drug for him, however, he was so sick psychologically we had to take him off. Can anyone else chime in on their experiences with antibiotics and timeframes you began seeing improvement? I don't want to stay on the wrong antibiotic for too long. Thanks, Darci -----Original Message-----From: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism [mailto:BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism ] On Behalf Of roshkovSent: Friday, December 05, 2008 6:45 PMTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Re: Is High fewer could be die-off symptom of Borreliosis ? MugeMy son (Borellia, Bartonella, Mercury…) is responding to Antibiotics similar way. His immune system just picking up with help of ABx, which usually results to fever. He is on Zithromax, IM Bicillin LA, was on Rifampin and recently started with Malarone (for Babesia). With last we got fever after only three days and was lasting for whole week, no additional side effects –he bounce back with improvements. Hope this help Ivan >> Muge,> > How high is your son's temperature? It could be anything, but first I would make sure it has nothing to do with non-Lyme sickness, bacteria or virus. Guest guest
Darci My almost 6 years old son (50 lbs weight) being on Lyme pathway for about six months: start with Alinia (6 weeks only), Zithomax 125mg/day and IM Bicillin 300-600K/week; two months after added Rifampin 75-125mg/day. Recently Rifampin canceled to start with Malarone 125/50. He is as well on herbals such as Teasel Root, Resveratrol, Viragraphis, Pekana Homeopatics, Takuna and recently added Rizol My. All dosages were pushed up gently without any big side-effects so far, except fevers with temporary regression to follows with gains. After reached gains sometimes levels off, where usually new dosage or remedy was/is required. First noticeable improvements were after 8 weeks – since started on higher dose of IM Bicillin (600K), and few weeks after that when Rifampin being introduced – gains in behavior, toilet training and receptive language. Last few months we notice that he is very happy child and smiling most of the time. Beside this he is on IV-DMPS/GHS/VitC (100mg/1000mg/6g) Chelation every second week - done over 50 so far. Since he started with antimicrobials we have done four UTM and on all of them Mercury is sky high - out of the chart. Ivan > > > > Muge, > > > > How high is your son's temperature? Guest guest
for high fever, I wash the child down with a cool washcloth, and or put the child in a tepid or slightly cool bath. I like fevers. I believe it is the body's way of fighting off infection. I usually try to let them go up to about 102-103 and if they get higher than that I try to use cool cloths to keep them about 102-103 so we can sustain the fever which we believe is a good thing the body is doing killing off infection/pathogens. We would only use a fever reducer if the cool cloth, bath did not reduce and if the fever continued to climb higher than 103. If the child at any time screams in pain during the fever and it does not respond, take them to the Emergency room, even if the fever brakes. We had a child with undiagnosed uveitis and the chicken pox virus caused a high fever and extreme pain.
