Limin..

Thank you so much for attending IACC and representing LIAF. I am so grateful. I wish I was able to come with other parents and make a big representation. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your efforts to educate attendees and the panel. It sounds like many already had their minds made up before they came, like Dr. Chez.

I will prepare a detailed letter and send that off as you suggested. Hopefully someone will listen.

Thanks again Limin...you rock!!!

Dear Limin and Pramila:

You two are phenomenal! I only wish I lived in California. I have a Master's degree in Science. I can and have done many research papers on college. I know how to find research, read it, etc. I will be happy to send you TONS of research out there, easily found on this net, that they keep saying doesn't exist, etc. They are just throwing out general statements that are not true. DAN doctors don't need to know how to do research; they are probably one of the few types of docs who actually do research. Most other docs, just blindly go by what they were told in college. Anyhow, next time you go to a meeting, let me send you some research links to print out and bring with you so you won't be empty-handed. I am so sick of people saying there is no research. I have read many a good practitioner/doctor say, there is lots of good research, but its being ignored. That's the real truth.

I have worked for years in behavioral modification therapies (though not these new ones for autism), but I don't believe they work anywhere near as good as biomedical. What sense does it make to make one's sick body work by forcing it with behavioral techniques when one can give a biomedical treatment to correct the problem. I have seen biological treatments work in hours. Anyhow, I guess its complicated. But know that I am a licensed behavioral specialist, and I recovered my kids enough to do regular school with no modifications in 12 months time, not by behavioral techniques. Thus, that's my opinion. Our children are ill, they need nutrition and biological treatments. I know you all know all this, but just letting you know my opinion. Maybe I will start compiling some research links, so we have them grouped together for easy finding.

I just read yesterday, again, Dr. Cowden referencing Stehpen Buhner, saying that Buhner states he was surprised at how much good research is being ignored. That's the real truth. Its there; its just ignored.

For the record: I do support behavioral modification techniques, just not over biological methods, most of the time.

You two bring tears to my eyes at your dedication, speaking up for the thousands who may never know your role towards helping their children. We need to keep the heat up because we need to let them know we are no longer blindly believing whatever we are told. We do know the research, we do have knowledge, we are successful, and we are not going to keep being treated as only financial contributors to their greedy agenda and victims of their greedy and reckless whims.

Love, prayers, and many thanks,

Heidi N

Thank you for your support.

I got an email after the meeting and I sent a

document detailing more of my thoughts. I didnt

specifically mention Lyme because I am just now

starting on that path, but I did mention the need to derive biomarkers for specific conditions our children have to help prioritize treatments and

measure success or otherwise using biomarkers. The need to develop a protocol based approach since our kids are in various stages of recovery and need individualized treatments.

I hope we will have more meetings and we can change the way things are done. Until then, we are on our own!

Thank you for all your support and information.

Coming to which, my son is already on Resveratrol and we use a lot of curcumin and ginger in food.

He is on IVIG, very sensitive to chemicals, salicylates (thats what triggers his autism behaviors), and I am really working for more language and cognition. I have ordered Raintree catsclaw. Whats your favorite method to detox die off toxins? I use Pectasol chelation complex. Is that good enough once i start cats claw?

Thanks a lot,

Pramila
