Re: valkion for acidosis

I used to track my son's urinary, salivary and blood pH all the time.

Haven't done it in a long while, since I managed to get his urine

pretty alkaline. Will have to find my pH strips again and get a

baseline before starting him on the valkion air and water.

It won't be for a few weeks though - his big list of blood tests will

have to be done in three sets, a week apart each. Just got a call from

Quest after they figured which tests needed what volume and calculated

it with his weight. Starting with hyper-coag set tomorrow afternoon.

Limin - the Quest numbers I got from Dr S today didn't match the ones

in their system for the hyper-coag tests. I'll ask them for a copy of

the correct numbers when we go in tomorrow afternoon. I'll scan and

e-mail to you. There are 14 separate tests in that panel, so it's a

fair amount of blood for a little kid. Especially if the blood flow

rate is low and instantly clots, like with my son. We have to do a

whole ritual of stuff to get his blood moving fast enough to fill all

the vials.

I forgot to ask to add blood pH as well, so I'll just try to find my

test strips and do it on the spot if there are any left overs. If not,

I'll just do it with a lancet at home - which he absolutely hates! If

the valkion causes alkalinity, I'd like to track it.

have used the valkion and water every day since ours arrived.? (the

kids too)? It seems that if you eat something bad or that you may be

intolerant to, it helps prevent or minimize a reaction.? Anyone else

notice this?
