Guest guest Posted January 23, 2007 Report Share Posted January 23, 2007 Five years and 3 failed ankle fusions later, I wish I would have listened to my doctors and put the AFOs on before I took that devastatingly life altering fall. My son just recently starting wearing AFOs. He's only 23. Although it was hard to watch him have to accept it, I am glad he is learning from my mistake. He also put himself on a workout routine to try to keep his muscle tone from deteriorating quite so fast. It will be interesting to see if it works.
