Guest guest
I started yoga stretching almost four years ago. I learned the Hatha style, which is gentle stretching. I was surprised to learn that with flexibility comes strength. I had one PT session with someone who knew yoga and was aware of CMT. We talked about poses that he thought might help. Squats were one of them, and he showed me how to use the kitchen sink to support myself while performing that stretch. O
Guest guest
Thanks for the input. I guess I just had bad experiences that I am glad many do not share in. Unfortunately I was never able to swim well but when I was young I rode my bike everywhere and loved it. I tried getting on a bike last year and was very dissapointed I didn't have the strength to do it. I do have an exercise bike which I used to do 10 miles a day so that would be good to do that again. I was told a while back exercise can make CMT worse or better depending on the person. Part of my New Years resolution is to take better care of my health. Happy New Years everybody and thanks for all the support. Andy
Guest guest
It really erks me when people say, " Come on, you can do his! " ...B.S.! I went swimming a couple of months ago, just in water deep enough to sit in in the ocean. It felt wonderful while I was doing it, but even when I stood up and gravity hit, I could barely make it home. Then it took 2 days of not leaving the bed to get up again. Some people just don't listen and/or understand. I feel for you, been through that. I'm wondering if I can get a deep tissue massage or would it make things worse? Take care,
