Guest guest
, hi, No you're not " loosing it " . You are under alot of STRESS now. Perhaps one suggestion might be to schedule your appointment in the early afternoons and to have a friend go with you. At the end of your post you mentioned what you won from the radio. Try to focus on what is POSITIVE or HAPPY in your life now, like this, and in times of quiet meditation, sit on your couch and reflect on things like this. I know stress can be overwhelming, but keeping at attitude of gratitude has always seen me through stressful times. Even gratitude for the smallest thing, like how my dog's ears felt like velvet when I was stuck in bed from a foot infection. ~ Gretchen
Guest guest
Hi , No, you're not 'losing it'. For me, the past couple of years have really been stressful emotionally. It's affected my health and I've seen a distinct increase in the rate of progression for my CMT - which of course creates more stress (scares the bejeebies out of me, actually). I've started going to counseling. She sits and listens - I vent. She validates a lot of what I'm feeling - that in itself is helpful. I don't feel so alone. She can see areas where I'm not really seeing things as they truly are. Hopefully, once I get past venting, we can work on some techniques to keep me from going back here again. It sounds like you really don't need any more appointments in your life, but maybe counseling would help? There are counselors that will accept medicaid and/or base fees on a sliding scale. Sometimes just talking to someone outside of your friends and family helps. Take care. Tonya
Guest guest
, sounds like things may be looking up for you. Winning anything is a positive. Me, I'm dealing with a bad case of shingles. Doc says it's from stress and my immune system being weak. All I know is they hurt like heck. I hope everyone had a good holiday.
Guest guest
, Are you taking anything for your anxiety. I used to have real problems with constant anxiety when I found out I had CMT. Now I am on Effexor and it has changed my life. -
Guest guest
Medicaid won't cover Effexor and it worked for me, now I'm back on WellbutrinXL, which I was on years ago and it seems to work again. I've got to go to the therapist on the 3rd of January, and I think I'm going to draw a chart and show my dr's what has happened to me in the last 6 years. I am about to lose my mind, and now everyone wants me to reapply for Medicaid, etc. and I haven't even gotten to the point of any type of normalcy in my life. (I know I didn't spell that right). I'm tired of answering to all these people (don't get me wrong, most of them are wonderful), but I can't take anymore legal denials. Between my workmens' comp case and the SS case, I have to keep them apart, and figure out who the hell wants to live in my shoes for a day. I was just denied again right before Christmas from the 25 year old I spoke about. I really don't know how much they want me to bleed for them....I've had it. Guest guest
Hi Your symptoms sound like anxiety/panic attacks. I started having these last Fall, and my neurologist recognized it as such and sent me to a psychiatrist. I had a full-blown anxiety attack in his office at our first appointment, so I do understand the way you feel. Have you spoken with your doctor about this? Antidepressants can augment the thereapy you are already getting. There is no shame in admtting that you are having a difficult time managing these stressful things in your life. Best wishes, Helen
