This is a wealth of information. I must say that I feel that a lot of our kids out there with behavior issues should be checked for GI issues. That is what I did and low and behold-he had the ulcers. There are so many GI issues with autism that there must be thousands of individuals with autism who can't communicate how they feel. I highly recommmend getting all of these people checked for GI issues.

Blake drinks a glass of fresh squeezed vegetable/fruit juice each morning. In the mix are carrots, apples, zuchini or squash, pears, melon etc. Never citrus. I give him a half of glass of this mixed with water. I was told this was good for his digestion. Do you think that this mixture is good for him or should I switch it to something else. He does drink grape juice mixed with water as well, which I don't know is as good as grape seed extract.

Thanks for your help!!

Hi ,in my own children on the spectrum 2 have sensitive gi and 2

have an iron stomach{garbage disposals, lol}. The juice you make sounds

really good. The only low alkaline forming foods in your ingredients are

apples and pears. Your other ingredients are highly alkaline forming. Those

are really good, promote healing. Alot of medications are acid forming. You

may need to just increase your juice serving or add those higher alkaline

foods to your meals. Grapes are in the low alkaline forming group. Lemon

or lime are high alkaline forming. Most all other citrus like oranges ect

are in the low alkaline forming. Many cold pressed oils, flax, grape seed

are low alkaline and neutralize. I take grape seed oil as an antioxidant.

Lemon in water heals tissue damage from high acids. I also use blackstrap

molasses in blender drinks a few times a week. It contains calcium, iron

and B vitamins. Is your grape juice sweet, frozen? Any sugar will push food

or drinks to high acidic forming properties. My daughter{autism} with gi

problems has brought her gi under control following the alkaline/acid

approach.

You are doing a wonderful job of making Blake some very healthy drinks.

That has to be helping health and healing.

Best wishes,

Tishanne
