Guest guest
Hi everyone. Last month I went to the MDA clinic and saw the doctor there and he recommended that I have type of surgery to have my arch on my right foot lowered and my heel and ankle bone realigned. However, the doctor at the MDA clinic only works with MDA patients that are pediatrics. So the MDA doctor recommended me to another doctor. The doctor he recommended me to was a Foot/Ankle Specialist. Well, I went and saw him yesterday and he said told us a few things. He told us that he could do the surgery on me. But he says my muscle tone is not really good. We asked him what he meant and he said I have a 65-70% chance that the surgery will work. He also said that people with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease that have more muscle tone than I have usually have a 90-95% percent chance that it will work. So my questions to everyone here are: 1. Has anyone ever had this percent chance and it work 2. does anyone know the name of the surgery 3. Does anyone now of a web site where we can find any information on this surgery. 4. Plus any other information would be helpful. Thanks Sue
