Guest guest
I am 45 and was diagnosed 30 yrs ago, I wear AFOs on both legs, my balance is poor and if I want to walk any sort of distance I now use a wheelchair. I have tried all the advise that I have learnt/heard about, I do love to swim, I do take the supplements. As for prognosis, no one can give it. Some will say I do this and that and I am this good etc. My Grandma was always told she had arthritis, when I remember her now it is so obvious she had CMT, her twin sons, my dad and uncle, they were diagnosed in their mid 50's, in this time, my dad was a 'soccer' referee and had build up the muscle, and his twin was a tennis player and had done the same. So you do get some who say, 'yes i took this that and the other, and exercise and I am still doing this that and the other etc' but we are all so very different. I try my best and 'some' of us sound very fortunate and the levels of our CMT very moderate and I wish I was them. Gretchen thank you for the work you do and I wish you continue to in the 'moderate' state you seem and come across as. Jill
