How did you get your congressman to help? I originally applied in July of 2005

was denied in Feb 2006 and filed my appeal in April 2006 I was told that the

courts were so backed up here it would probably take at least 2 years.

I called my local office and was told to come in. I did. They had me to fill out

a form explaining my situation. Within a week I received a letter from my

congressman advising me that he would look into

matters for me. He requested that SSA keep him informed on the progress and any

decisions made. It made a big difference in my case. Good luck.
