Guest guest
Welcome. I don't have CMT but my husband does. He first noticed symptoms at about age 62. He had the high arches and hammertoes long before the first symptoms; he can't remember when he go them. He is now 77, has braces, and uses a scooter for long distances like an airport. His first complete CMT gene test with Athena was inconclusive; the repeat was negative. CMT comes in many different forms with many different onset ages. Before you get yourself a diagnosis [and the chances are probably 50-50], you need to be settled into good, noncancelable health insurance including long-term health care and disability if that's going to be what you want because if you get a diagnosis, you won't be able to get the insurances.
