Guest guest
Hello all, I will try to make this short, but no promises!! My legs and arms get very tired at times, noticing this more often. Sometime when I climb stairs it feel like my legs are going to give out on me. Other times I sit alot cause they are very weak. I also have issues trying to curl my hair. My arm gets so tired that I need to sit in between curls or prop my arm aganist the wall. What about CMT causes this? Can you explain it to me. Also, my right foot seems to be giving me more pain and more often than before. And I notice when I an in bed and lay with my knees bent after a few minutes my feet hurt and burn. Then when I go to get up, both feet and part way up the calfs hurt. I happened to remember the other day that I have been having pain in that foot for years but I contributed it to the Lyme Disease since my once specialist said that I may have arthritis in it. That was years before the diagnosis of CMT. Should x-rays be considered or is this just anther perk of CMT?? Thanks to all in advance who reply!! Guest guest
Teri, Perhaps muscle fatigue, or atrophy, with the legs and arms/hands. How are you pacing your activities out? As for the feet and leg pain at night: Have you tried drinking Tonic Water before bed? It is a relaxor. Have medications been prescribed for the burning? Have you talked this over with your neurologist and orthopedist? Do you sleep with pillows under your knees, or between your knees, or use a triangular pillow at the end of your feet or a " foot cradle " ? Do the sheets cause the pain? Do your feet burn during the day or only at night? ~ Gretchen
