Are there a lot of DVDs/Tapes for ramps if I buy >one and if I buy one which would you recommend? :-) do you mean a ramp or an incline step? i dont own either one and have only one workout that does use an inclined step. i know that kathy has used gin miller's ramp and workouts -- did she sell/trade it to donna? maybe one of those ladies can give you some input on that. leslie sansone also uses the same ramp and has her own set of workouts for it. for a harder, more thorough workout, you can look into the incline step that is used for the firm's bss3 and bss4 (transfirmer) workouts. the incline step is different than a ramp though. :*carolyn. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
Geri, hi, Try the MDFF (this is NOT the same as the MDA) I think you have to sign up with them first. Here's a link to the adaptative stuff - it specifically says " ramps for homes " , etc. There's a 'contact' link in there too. http://www.mdff.org/AdaptiveEquipment.html Or if you want to contact them by phone or snail mail here's the info: Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation 3951 N. Guest guest
Geri: Also check with your local Lion's Club International group for help. My husband and I belong to two separate clubs here in Iowa and both clubs help build ramps for homes. I know some of the individuals get help through their local DHS office for the materials and the Lion's do the labor as a service project. Good Luck in finding help. Guest guest
Hello Also check with MDA and see if there is a medical equipment loan " closet " nearby so that you can actually try out different items and " borrow " them like a library book. Also check all the civic groups, your state may have an assistive technology program as well. Check out online resources and dealers to compare models, styles and prices, etc. If you would like further guidiance, please email and I will help in anyway I can. Guest guest
Geri, Go to your local MDA Association. I know they can get people together who need equipment with those who want to sell or give away equipment.
