Guest guest
, I think you may be right that he will grow out of it. I'm not autistic, but I wet the bed until I was 12 years old. They didn't have pullups then; my mother put a rubber sheeting on the bed to protect the mattress. It seems like you are doing the right thing. No water after 6:00 and going to the bathroom before bed. You sound like a smart mother. blessings, Pat K Good Morning,My 7 yr. old PDD son still wears the night time pull up. Now thathe's getting bigger and drinking more fluids the pull up doesn'talways work.We talk about this all the time. Not drinking so much after6....going to the bathroom before bedtime....etc...My question is...do you think I should be more consistent with thiswhole situation? I just feel like he'll grow out of it. He pottytrained a lot later and I imagined this was normal for a child withPDD and low muscle tone. A doctor said once that maybe because of thelow tone he can't hold it at night. Although, he has woke up drybefore so I don't think that's an issue.I was also told once by a doctor that they have alarms that will wakethe child. I hate to do that...I imagine his anxiety's will worsen bywaking up to a bell type noise. Please let me know what you think. Guest guest
our son potty trained when he was five, bm toilet-trained at seven and didn't learn to "hold it" at night while sleeping until nine (almost ten). he no longer fit into the pull-ups either so i was just buying adult size diapers at that time (they are cheaper too). julie Re: Night Time Bed Wetting , I think you may be right that he will grow out of it.
