You can contact your State Independent Living Council. They will

direct you to your nearest Center for Independent Living which can

usually help you with such services as adaptive equipment, career

changes, and even peer support. Centers for Independent Living are

federally funded nonresidential agencies that provide people with all

types of disabilities services that enable you to live more

independently in your own community.

You can go to the website

www.ncil.org, which is the National Center for Independent Living.

Contact information for every state is at this site. I work at the

Akransas Independent Living Council and our IL centers build ramps for

people with grant funds all the time. Although the centers are

federally funded, the funds are regulated through a state plan which

means that your state may be providing different programs than mine.

Regardless, the IL center will be able to help you find a program that

suits your needs. Hope this helps.
