The Gait Society, an interdisciplinary medical association made up

of Podiatrists, Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Certified

Pedorthists, Athletic Trainers and other related healthcare

professionals, will hold its annual educational Symposium May 18 and

19th at the Reunion Center Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dallas. Attendees

to the 2007 Symposium can receive continuing education credits for

their related specialty.

The program will consist of three tracks for attendees, with each

concentrating on the role each practitioner plays in addressing the

specific pathology. This year's topics are the Charcot foot,

Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction, (PTTD), and the Charcot Marie

Tooth pathology. A panel of experts will discuss the various stages

of each of these problems along with the conservative treatment

modalities. In the breakout sessions the attendees will hear more on

each treatment modality, including the SCFO bracing, AFO bracing,

custom foot Orthotics, over the counter inserts and shoes, custom

shoes, scanning devices for both assessment and diagnostics, and

specialty materials used for management of pathologies.

For a comprehensive agenda with leading industry speakers and to

register for this event, go to www.gaitsociety.org/event.

In addition the Gait Society Symposium will provide continuing

education for these professionals. Continuing education units have

been applied for each specialty attending. Healthcare professionals

should inquire about continuing education units for their specialty.

Individuals wishing to receive information on the 2007 symposium are

invited to inquire at the web site, www.gaitsociety.org.
