Guest guest
A warm welcome, , thanks too for introducing yourself. I too, periodically, have tremors - there is a type of CMT that has tremors, sometimes called Roussy Levy CMT. (just named after 2 docs in about 1924 who 'discovered' these tremors in persons with CMT. More recently, published research has shown a linkage in people to CMT Type 1B; however, others have tremors who do not have 1B - myself for one. The 'blood test' you refer to is a DNA evaluation for all known types of CMT and also HNPP. The EMG/NCV is also another diagnostic tool. 'Treatment' for all of us differs, and is predominatly focused on managing 'symptoms'. There are several medications for tremors that I'm sure your doctor will tell you about. Again, welcome. ~ Gretchen ( Founder and ELC)
