Hi Denedria:

That's great that your CIL is working for you! I work for the Arkansas

Independent Living Council. We have four centers for independent

living in our state and I highly encourage anyone here to contact their

state council to find out more about the centers. These are federally

funded programs that are there to help people with disabilities gain or

keep their independence thru career direction, peer support, systems

change and advocacy. Some of our CILs have actually been able to bring

people out of the nursing homes and help them to re-create their

lives. If you aren't familiar with your state council or local CIL,
