Guest guest
I've been looking into some issues once I found all you wonderful people. I know some of you have had EEGs and they have proven normal. I'm very inclined to believe that we are suffering from a type of seizure. If you read up on partial simple seizures you may find some things of interest. If you had an EEG with a lip smaker or gum chewer present during part of that test, I bet the pens on those machines would be flying off the page. Does anyone remember the story of the person that had seizures whenever they heard Hartman's voice? Just think about how instantaneous those feelings of rage just start. You can be fine one second and in less than another second you want to do whatever you have to to stop that sound. Just something else to think about. Re: sudden buzz Well... I actually had never heard of Meniere's disease until you mentioned it so I 'googled' it and I have had that strange "whirling" sensation they talk about. It doesn't happen often but it always happens when I'm laying down and it feel like I'm on the teacups at Disneyland going around a hundred miles an hour. Usually if I open my eyes it stops. The feelings at work the other day were more on the dizzy side than whirling. I also randomly get tinnitus though it isn't bad enough to really bother me. I also sometimes feel like I have water in my ear but I know there is not. My left ear is more affected than my right. Strange thing is that when I put my pinky finger in my left ear to itch it, as I pull it out my ear feels fuller and it makes me dizzy. How weird is that? Interesting. .. thanks for mentioning that. I think I'll read up on it some more!Darlene > > >> > > If the pressure inside the inner ear drops, the ear becomes> > > hypersensitive and displays the symptoms of Meniere's disease. > This> > > is very common and usually transient and temporary. Guest guest
Very interesting. I really want them to do an EEG while someone chews gum. I think it would show many interesting things! Hopefully we'll get research soon. -----Original Message-----From: Soundsensitivity [mailto:Soundsensitivity ]On Behalf Of Kathy GouldSent: Monday, September 01, 2008 6:56 PMTo: Soundsensitivity Subject: Re: Re: sudden buzz I've been looking into some issues once I found all you wonderful people. Guest guest
I have just searched on Meniere's disease and found your email. I have been suffering with 4S since I was a teenager but only found this group recently as I thought I was just bonkers before that! It's wierd that everything seems to be connected now. I have just come back from GP because I have had another bout of vertigo which I have been having for a few years now and also mentioned about a constant whirring noise in my ear, one ear is worse than the other. I thought may be it was a build up of wax, but she seems to think that it might be Meniere's Disease which she said is calcification of the ear drum. I have a slight loss of hearing as well. I didn't mention the sound sensitivity because I feel silly about this, even though it is a massive problem in my life like everyone else in this group. Also noticed on a website about Meniere's that it can be linked to migraine which I get quite badly as well. Strange! Does anyone else have all these symptons? Regards Beccy Subject: Re: sudden buzzTo: Soundsensitivity Date: Tuesday, September 2, 2008, 4:57 AM I agree. All they'd need to do is put me on the table, hook me up to the machine, and bring in my husband eating popcorn with his squawky bird on his shoulder and I'd probably make the machines blow up. LOL. > > > >> > > > If the pressure inside the inner ear drops, the ear becomes> > > > hypersensitive and displays the symptoms of Meniere's> disease.> > This> > > > is very common and usually transient and temporary. Guest guest
i get the same thing....i was always told as a child that if you get that ringing in your ears someone is thinking/talking about you (depended on which ear whether it was good or bad)....lol To: Soundsensitivity Sent: Tuesday, November 4, 2008 8:44:37 AMSubject: Re: Re: sudden buzz I quite often hear a short, high-pitched sound and always wonder what it is. It doesn't bother me, luckily, but it would if it was constant. Re: sudden buzz It just happened to me last night while I was lying in bed. It only lasted a few seconds, but was really weird and loud! I don't recall it happening before, but since it's so short and really not painful in the slightest, it wasn't very memorable.>> does anyone ever get this sudden ringing buzz in your ears? It happened to me today..again. It usually stays for a couple of minutes and it's just this high pitched ring buzz in ur ear! it doesn't hurt, just kind of annoying and it happens at random. anybody know exactly what's going on in the ear when that happens?> AOL Email goes Mobile! Guest guest
I heard the same thing about the ringing, or that it was a spirit trying to get in touch! Who knows...
