I don't see any genetic connection in our family to my daughter, but I know several on this site have said that their mother had/has it also. So I don't think that it is either one side or the other. Although I would love for it to be my husband's side so that I could tell my mother-in-law who seems to somehow think that all hereditary traits are passed by the mother's side. As if I didn't feel guilty enough that my child is suffering, she actually told me that it must come from my side--she was serious!!

The only family member I know of with 4s besides myself was my uncle on my mother's side. Most of the craziness in my family comes from my dad's side, though, absolutely no question.
