Guest guest
Hi Everyone, My son keeps getting BAD ear infections. He has never complained or cried before but this time....poor little man cry's A LOT. Dr. said keep putting peroxide in his ears until they stop bubbling and add ear drops. This seems to make it worse. Any idea's to help with the ear aches and infections? Thanks so much!
Guest guest
wow. I can't believe a doctor said peroxide in the ears. Mine have always advised against it. It burns.ibuprofen and tylenol together are fine. they are not the same class of drug so both together will not be an overdose. tylenol every 4 hours, advil every 8. Laying him down at an angle instead of flat reduces the middle ear pressure. decongestants may also relieve some pressure as the sinuses and ears are directly connected. zythromax has always been fabulous at getting the infections cleared up. my son went through the spectrum of antibiotics several times over the course of 2 years. that was the only one that worked.my son is the king of all that is ear cooties...techmom35 wrote: Hi Everyone, My son keeps getting BAD ear infections. Guest guest
They do have drops that you can get over the counter that help numb the ear during ear infections. I use the peroxide too, but the kids don't like it because of the bubbling sound in their ears. I also give them IBprofin before bed. Both of my children ended up having tubes put in their ears when they were each 1 year old, and believe it or not it was a true blessing. My daughter is now 10 and my son is 6 and they might have had 1 ear infection a piece since then and they weren't that bad. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Try to find an Ear Nose Throat Specialist & see if you can get IC A/B OTIC EAR DROPS QUA 2 -3 drops every 2-3 hrs for pain. Or ask your Ped. To prescribe them. Don't know your location but we used Dr. Boyles in Centerville (Dayton, OH.) He also does the food allergies. Did the EPD (Enzyme Potentiated Destination) study to get it approved in the USA/FDA. It is approved in London. Donelle West -- Re: in PAIN.... please help!
