Guest guest
Dana, Once again I am several days behind with the posts so I apologize in case I am repeating other posts. Have you tried Specific Carbohydrate Diet bakery foods? They don't have grains and use blanched almond flour instead. The muffins, cakes, and cookies look and taste just like those made with flour, and are delicious. Just make sure you don't share them with someone who is allergic to nuts! I can send you some recipes and sources of information if you are interested. I get my almond flour from Hughson Nut Company in California. They send it in 25 pound boxes. I also think it well worth your while to try the soaked flour foods. Several people have reported here that their grain-sensitive or autistic children don't react negatively to them. Will you let us know what happens? Best wishes, > Date: Sun, 3 Feb 2002 13:35:03 -0800 > From: " Dana Milmeister " <danamilmeister@...> > Subject: ready to take the grain plunge > > My toddler is starting to eat more and more grain products out in the > world, and her mood changes after she eats these foods are profound and > noticeable - she becomes negative, cranky and cries a lot. Guest guest
If we bake with this almond flour, is it okay even if the almonds weren't soaked before they were made into flour? > Dana, > Once again I am several days behind with the posts so I apologize in case I > am repeating other posts. > > Have you tried Specific Carbohydrate Diet bakery foods? Guest guest
>If we bake with this almond flour, is it okay even if the almonds >weren't soaked before they were made into flour? That's the main reason I'm skeptical about almond flour -- it seems to me the almonds have to be soaked and dried before being ground into flour (at low temperature!) but AFAIK, SCD almond flours aren't handled that way. (I'm also concerned about almonds' high polyunsaturate content, but probably some soaked nuts are fine to have.) -

I'll try to do that. I had to create a second 2.0 file, becuase the first one kept reporting only one session every time. The new file seems to be creating a correct list. > It is possible that there is some other difference in the reporting, > e.g. using digital filters vs. FFT percents, or other differences > in how the software is being set up. Guest guest
On 6/23/05 Ed asked abut living in in an aluminum house. One little-known problem with this is that the metal conducts electrical pollution (harmful high frequencies) that are delivered to the house via utility lcurrent and may also be on the ground around the house. (The siding need not be touching the ground. They can jump.) The high frequencies are then broadcast throughout the living space from the metal. See www.electricalpollution.com for more on this.
