Guest guest
YES! I have had wrist pain after having all five of my babies. I concluded it was from handling the baby. Watch all the turning and twisting your wrists do when you pick the baby up, feed the baby and change a diaper. Not to mention dressing the baby. I took Tylenol for the wrist pain , it also worked as an anti-inflammatory. Splints would be a good idea. Stretching and warm water on my wrists helped also. How old is your baby? By the third month I don't remember having much wrist trouble.

Guest guest
Hi, I have heard that pregnancy can cause carpal tunnel syndrome which sometimes resolves after the pregnancy is over. Have you checked into that aspect?? I have carpal tunnel and wear splints nights and during the day when my wrists start bothering me. The splints that I wear aren't what are typically used - www.capalglove.com for info. They work great. Tonya
Guest guest
I had the same problem! I found it was from an unnatural positon bending my wrist to give him a bottle. No matter what I did my hand would go numb. I found out I had carpal tunnel syndrome. I splinted my wrist only at night and only for a few hours during the day when it was really hurting. You definately do not want to have to rely on the splint, it will cause atrophy, and with CMT you definately do not want that! I recently had carpal tunnel surgery and my surgeon said that because of my CMT I had a thicker tendon than normal, and said it was a good choice to have had the surgery done, otherwise it could have led to permanent median nerve damage.
