I'm so glad to have received a mostly positive response. I'm not a filmmaker myself but I have access to digital film equipment if that's the route that seems most plausible. Even if it started on youtube, I'm confident that this has the potential to be much bigger. Am somewhat of a writer and I'm in the process of emailing filmmakers, trying to pitch this project. I think its definitely a rich subject but I want to know if there are any specific qualifications that you as participants and ultimately the faces of this condition want me to assert from the start. Obviously, we are not interested in garnering more skepticism and ridicule than already exists out there with regards to 4S, but any other input would be helpful. I also teach rhetoric and one article, VInce Parry's "The Art of ng a Condition," may be of particular interest to anyone interested. It definitely highlights the problems that come with building recognition for a new condition because of corporate marketing. But I also think it illustrates just how important something like a documentary (or any other form of powerful rhetoric) from the perspectives with 4S really is. If we don't shape how this condition is perceived now, someone else will and not necessarily to the benefit of anyone here. Many of you have already had terrible experiences discussing this with even your own families and I want to be careful not to step on any toes with this or offend anyone here, I want more than anything to be an ardent supporter and rallier for this cause. I've never in my life encountered a more worthy one. Again, any and all collaboration is eagerly anticipated. Thanks everyone!
