Anyone else out there into Mountain Biking? or Road Biking or any

other biking?

Spring is here and two weekends ago the Amgen Bike Tour was through

here - I was so inspired, I got my bike out of the garage, took it

in for a tune up, and had a 45 minute ride today. Wow, I had

forgotten how a good ride will clean out the cowebs of my brain! Not

to mention great cardio.

At first I thought " oh this is easy, I haven't forgotten how (lol)

until I realized I was riding straight into the winds from the

North - and what resistance!

April 17 and 18 I plan on going to a Ride at one of the local

ranches...therein lies my challenge, I do fine on the road, but hit

a rock, and oops...you may be missing a Moderator for a few days LOL

Anyway, it was just great to be outdoors, breathing the fresh air

and feeling full of hope. It is so great to have my bike tuned and

looking almost brand new.

What is so wonderful about exercise and me is that I have to be

totally present in the moment, even if it is repetitive. In

aquatics, I can still do reps and count, but the breathing and

cardio circuit is important to follow in steps. With the bike, sure

pedaling is repetitive, but the challenge is in the 'elements',

wind, rocks, cars, kids, you name it.

For the bike fans among our group, I ride a Trek 800.
