Guest guest
I ran across a health headline today that I thought would be of interest to many on this list. The study found that the bacterial populations of the gums are capable of releasing endotoxins into the bloodstream. This release of toxins increases if the gums are disturbed. For the purposes of the study, they used chewing gum to disturb the gums of the participants. I thought this was interesting for a couple of reasons: the link between oral health and general health, and a possible indictment of gum chewing as an unhealthy activity. Here's the link to the article: http://dailynews./h/nm/20020207/hl/gums_1.html --------------------------------------- Name: Kroyer Phone: 651-637-3260 Email: skroyer@...
