Guest guest Posted December 29, 2008 Report Share Posted December 29, 2008 You are entitled to one IEE every time they do one. If they do a speech, you are entitled to a speech. If they do an FBA, you are entitled to an FBA. If they do an initial and leave something out, you are entitled to whatever they missed. Be sure that you do not specify WHY you disagree. They will try to get you to give a reason. When you do that, it limits what they have to agree for the IEE to do. So simply say that you disagree and that you want an independent person to evaluate your child for a fresh look. If you do not approve of the people that are available locally (you will need to have a reason for not approving them), then the district will have to pay reasonable costs to bring someone in.
