Guest guest Posted February 7, 2007 Report Share Posted February 7, 2007 My sister has a mild form of CMT. All her life she has had difficulty swallowing. At times she says her throat just closes so that medicine or even food cannot pass into her esophagus. Even drinking water often causes choking and coughing and gagging.
