Guest guest
Hi Rhonda, I am sure you will find the wonderful people on this list will give you some wonderful tips and help concerning the awful treatment from your doctors. Fortunately for me I have not been there, my son has been to the doctor only once for his two week appointment. We took him to see a midwife for a wellbaby visit at his 3 month mark and thats been it so far. (By the way he is just over four months). I was looking longingly at your wonderful long list of children, you are really blessed, I would love a big family, but my DH only wants the one. (perhaps he will change his mind) Welcome to the list. Chelly (mommy to Trenton born 8/19/99 - wife to Mike since 9/12/98)
Guest guest
Welcome Rhonda! I know your frustration!!!! When we told the pediatrician at the time that we just wanted to do research we were told we had to sign a form releasing them of liability. Fine..No problem. Then they lied to use concerning the vaccine, the risk and refused to report our daughter's reaction. The next time I went in for her appt. another form releasing her of liability. That's when i had enough. One form was enough! They didn't need one for every visit. What state do you live in? I would recommend getting an attorney involved. They are violating your religious rights! Depending on where you live you may want to contact your representative and maybe even the state attorney general. The fact is if there is an exemption on the books they can't violate your rights. My feeling is if there is that much animosity then move on to another dr. Whatever you do...even if you have to pay out of pocket go to some dr. Even if it is a naturopath or chiropractor who sees all the kids at one time. (I am not implying these are 'less' than an MD but they definately respect the patients right more!)This way you can never get accussed of 'child neglect'. Our immunization director told me they would charge parents w/'child neglect' if there isn't a medical record. Just something to consider. My feeling is be proactive rather than a sitting duck. Definately worth checking out an attorney. in CT Birthcircle@... wrote: > > From: Birthcircle@... > > Hello! > > I just received my welcome to the list and wanted to post a quick intro. Guest guest
I am a 60 yr old male living in Apex NC. I was first diagnosed with CMT when I was 40. I now use a power wheelchair when I leave the house and use crutches inside. My wife and I are retired and like to travel and go on cruises when we can.
