I consider my CMT moderate, I'm still functioning okay (except for the darned

fatigue that weighs me down), but a new symptom has developed, and I don't know

if it's CMT related. At this time I have numbness & some weakness in my feet &

legs, up to my upper thighs, and my hands are somewhat involved so that it's a

little harder to tie shoes & do buttons, but I can do most of what I want to do.

New symptom: I leak urine, not just when I sneeze or when my bladder is very

full, but I seem to have a slow leak or drip, which leads to damp thighs. This

has come on rather suddenly. Could this be because the CMT has reached the

muscles that control my bladder? I'm 76 and some of my female friends in my age

group have similar problems, but I think my problem may be more extreme. I wear

a Poise pad all the time now, & it always gets damp, or even wet.

Any of you have this problem? Should I consult with my neuro? Should I see a

urologist who will certainly know NOTHING about CMT? Any suggestions?

Ruth
