This looks to be what I need.Hubby has

cirrhosis<br>and is on the maximum dosage of diuretics for his

ascites.He goes next week for another ultrasound.<br>The

doctors are suspecting portal hypertension

and<br>suggesting a shunt.I work in the medical field so I know

what all this means...I am very scared.<br>I have

tried to expain the seriousness of all this to him with

no luck.And to top it all off I have been catching

him sneaking drinks of alcohol.<br>Any advice from

other members would be appreciated.<br>Susie
